yo don't forget to post those

Lametrius (aka Meech) is one of those people who makes you wish you had cooler friends or did more shit with your life. I've only met her once (this concert at the Brooklyn Museum), but before that I was following her on Tumblr and always thought she was a great blend between hipster and hippie. Every time she uploads photos into an album on Facebook I end up leaving her with an overwhelming amount of notifications, but I think she's getting used to it.

I think she should turn some of these into postcards or something, like she does a perfect job of encapsulating the moments and joy that come along with being young. Doing shit with your friends, partying, concerts, etc. Also makes me wonder what life might be like if I maybe wasn't so obsessed with the internet and left my house once in a while. So here's a little artist spotlight, what a cool kid.

fashion fever aka pretty hipster bullshit

basically there's this popular style blog on tumblr called FASHION FEVER, trolled through the outfit sets she makes (click here to see them) and made a massive collage of all the clothes. it's so pretty, i want it all. the end.

More than a Varsity Jacket

I recently did a post about Tinker Hatfield (read it here) .. and now I'm doing another Nike related post, whatever. This is the DREAM TEAM DESTROYER. To celebrate the victory of the 1992 USA Basketball Team at the Barcelona Summer Olympics this jacket was released by Nike earlier this summer. I REALLLLYY like it. Nike's always stepping shit up, creativity wise... and price wise, it costs $500! (unfortunately it's sold out on the website) The jacket is just one item of Nike's "Dream Team" collection issued in honor of the twentieth anniversary of the team's success at the Olympics. The jacket has all these patches and embroidery so not only does it serve as a piece of sports gear, but it's pretty fashion forward as well.

Ok this is the part when you stop reading and watch the video...

A couple reasons I like this video. 1, I'm a fan of the guy wearing the jacket, his name's Stalley, he's a rapper of Maybach Music Group and his beard is cool. 2. There are little animations of the basketball players in the video jumping around on the jacket... and that reminds me of Space Jam (great movie). I just think the whole concept for the collection, the video, and incorporating both the older retired players and the younger ones who represented the U.S. in this year's games was a great idea. On the front underneath the flag is a list of the scores from the 1992 games, which simply reaffirms why they earned the pseudonym. (The smallest gap they won by was 33 points!) Essentially, they came, they saw, they kicked ass.

ok when this happened.

this was just sexy as fuck, when rihanna performed the cockiness remix at the VMAs ... after asap did his verse she kinda brushed him and he pulled her in then grabbed her ass and kissed her neck... it's pop culture at it's best honestly, two music and fashion icons (well rocky is still on the rise) doing what they do best, i love it, i love it, i love it when you ....

we're all bIG kIDZ

Sooo I have a Twitter, it's @fuckflo and I have like no followers lol but it's still fun to use, last week someone I follow retweeted Mr. Hudson, and I was like wait, I like Mr. Hudson's music, why am I not following him. Then I was like wait, what happened to Mr. Hudson? I haven't heard any of his recent music, (this all happened mentally in a matter of five seconds). I went to his Twitter and he'd recently tweeted the link to a Sound Cloud link that read "BIG KIDS MUSIC", curious, I clicked the link, which then opened a page with a list of different tracks. Well as they say, the rest is history, unfortunately they only have two tracks and two music videos to accompany those... it sucked cause after I listened to those songs, all that was left on their sound cloud were remixes to "Drum In Your Chest". Luckily their debut album "Never Grow Up" comes out on October 8th, so my ears will be happy again. Until then I'll enjoy these two. P.S. You should watch both of the entire videos they're both good songs as well as visually interesting.
