ANOTHER SHORT FILM!!!

So as you may or may not know I LOVE short films and finding good ones to post about. I've watched The Candidate twice; the angles, lighting and entire concept are amazing. It's roughly 20 minutes long but totally worth the watch, the end will have you like :O Shit. It's also still amazing to me that the people behind these who produce, direct, and write the films spend months working on these 10 and 20 minute clips. If you're reading this chances are you were probably bored anyway so... yea, press play.

Lea Michele braves TCAs

The death of Glee star Cory Monteith is undoubtedly one of the most tragic of 2013 thus far. One month ago an accidental drug overdose at a hotel room in Canada took the life of the talented 31 year old and left his fans, family and fiance in shock. I used to watch Glee and I wasn't his biggest fan or anything but I was really upset when I found out about this.

Last night at the Teen Choice Awards his costar and fiance, Lea Michele, accepted her award for Choice TV Actress Comedy at the Teen Choice Awards. I watched the Youtube clip this morning, and sitting in my bed I couldn't help but tear up while I watched the acceptance speech. It was just really, really sad. I know what it feels like to deal with the sudden loss of a loved one and my condolences really go out to her, his friends and family. The strength she showed when accepting the award was simply admirable, and the brightness in her smile was very motivational.

Today also marks 25 years since Jean-Michel Basquiat, one of my favorite artists, also passed away at only 28 and unfortunately from a drug overdose as well. It really sucks to see a talented person's life cut short by something like this. May they both rest in peace.

flosmups.tumblr.com

ladies and gentlemen, i couldn't help myself. soon after my mom blessed me with an iPhone 5 a few days ago i realized that if i shared photos on instagram or facebook as much i'd like to, it'd be straight up spam. obviously one of the best features on an iphone is the camera, so after a little contemplation i decided to start another photo blog, but this is different. in addition to my main photo blog, http://flongala.tumblr.com/ this one is less fancy and more for daily documentation, they're just mobile uploads, hence the blog name. i'm not sure if i'll keep it for too long but i'm really enjoying it so far. the best part is that i don't have to scan negatives or prints to post photos, so i'll be uploading frequently. here's some of the coolest from the pack.

Rich Kidzz

well everyone, i guess we're approaching that time of the year again. back to school ads, back to school sales, back to school reading lists, but most importantly, back to school music videos. this is really impressive, looks like back-to-school campaigns are really stepping their shit up. i watched the whole thing and became very nostalgic of elementary school days and planning my first day of school outfit like a week before. too bad i've turned into a bum so i just throw on leggings, a shirt and converse now.

peep their first video too

interview!

This cool videographer/creator from Florida named FXRBE$ just started this new blog, fxrbeslist.com and did a little feature on me among a few other talented artists. These are a few of the questions and answers, you can read the rest of the shit I said on his blog though. Also, check out his youtube channel, he's doing big things.

Solestruck presents "History of the Universe"

For their Men's F/W 2013 campaign, shoe site Solestruck has quite literally produced a fashion forward visual acid trip, this is a lot to process, I don't think I fully have yet to be honest. With so much color and editing; it's like the universe threw up. These are just some of my favorites, but feel free to view more from the shoot here. While you're at it fuck with the photographer/creative director behind these, http://michael-burk.com/.
